ART: About Artists
Andreas Gmür (AndyG) was born in Switzerland and grew up in Brazil and Colombia. He currently lives in the United States since 1995. Andreas graduated from Boston University's School of Management in 1997. Shortly thereafter he decided to pursue his passion, namely painting. Andreas graduated in Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, May 2002.
Andreas had a couple of life changing mystical experiences in 1997, which led him to a spiritual path with a clear vision and mission. His highest aspiration is to assist the Christ / Buddha seed that every human has within themselves to blossom to a fruitful and strong tree. Andreas emphasizes the importance of reaching higher levels of consciousness through spiritual practices such as meditation or yoga. He states that "it is every soul's utmost desire to reconnect to Cosmic Consciousness from where it originated. This is actually the soul's mission while incarnated in the physical dimension of human flesh and bone."
Andreas' ultimate goal is to create artwork that fosters the desire for spiritual awakening in the viewer.

She is interested in expressing emotions and thoughts through paintings in oil, multi media, works on paper and installations. She calls her style, if she had to say, may be uhaaaa…."surreal abstract!".
